Heroes: Ceolwic, Shazar'r, Elwyn.
Elwyn confronts Baroness Esravash d' Lyrandar, explaining to her the importance of his mission to thwart Merrix's plans. Thanks to his favoured status in the House, and to the fact that the Elementals powering the Golden Dragon will not accept any other captain but Elwyn, the Baroness gives him her blessing to continue in his quest, for the glory of House Lyrandar.
Elwyn contacts the Dogs of War, joining their adventuring guild, and all together they meet with Lady Elaydren. Shazar'r persuades Elaydren to be secured in a hidden place (a Dark Lanterns hideout), while the Heroes travel to the Demon Wastes to recover the lost schema.
Thanks to Ceolwic's magic, the Heroes reach the northern forests of the Eldeen Reaches, and then proceed by magical flight. While they're crossing the Icehorn Mountains, they're attacked by a pair of Vrock demons.
