Heroes: Thokk, Shiny, Ceolwic, Kokoro, Temoi.
The Heroes take some time to recover from their latest fight against the Emerald Claw. After selling a few antiquities recovered from their trip to Dorasharn, many of them decide to store their hard-earned gold in a Kundarak Bank, and rent a lodging in the Upper Districts of Sharn.
They periodically check the Sivis message station, still hoping in a message from Lady Elaydren. One day, Shiny enters the station, and finds it in disarray. The gnome clerk, wounded and panic-stricken, informs him that a band of thugs has attacked the station, and stolen a message meant for the Heroes.
Shiny hurries up to inform the others, when a giant owl drops a message in front of his feet: Lady Elaydren awaits them at the Brokne Anvil, the matter seems urgent. The Heroes hurry there, and they meet Lady Elaydren. She is in a great hurry, and delivers a leather bag to the Heroes, telling them that all they need to know is in the bag. Then she makes for the exit, but she's stopped by a band of kobold mercenaries, led by a warforged lackey of the Lord of Blades.
The Heroes dispatch these opponents, and Lady Elaydren leaves, telling them that more assassins are certainly coming, and they need to hurry. The Heroes take a skycoach, and check the contents of the bag, which is in fact a Handy Haversack. Inside, they find a letter from Lady Elaydren explaining them what she needs, and provisions for the travel.
The Heroes reach a Lyrandar pier, and buy passage on an Elemental Galleon. The trip to Darguun takes a little more than four days, during which the only trouble is a surprise attack from a group of skeletons rising from the sea.
Once in Rhukaan Draal, the Heroes have some trouble with the local goblins, but eventally find Failin, formerly of House Orien. They hire him to bring them to Rose Quarry, and Failin escorts them to his Elemental-powered Land Cart, a carriage capable of travel through any kind of terrain at great speed.
The Heroes depart from Rhukaan Draal, headed for the border with the Mournlands.
