Heroes: Thokk, Shiny, Ceolwic, Kokoro, Ibiki, Temoi.
The Heroes delve deeper into the catacombs, and face more aberrant creatures, like Dolgrims, a Dolgaunt, and even a Choker. Finally, they reach the inner sanctum of the compound, where the fearsome Queen with the Burning Eyes awaits them to deliver them to the dark depths of Khyber. The Heroes face her without fear, and kill her. Among her treasures, they recover a golden medallion with a mysterious map engraved on it.
The Heroes have severely disrupted the work of the Cult of the Dragon Below, but have not found any of the Cultists involved in the disappearances, apparently led by a blond-haired nobleman.
They make their way out of the dig site, and reach a tavern to get some rest and share their loot. But there's no peace for them, as several members of the Emerald Claw, led by a Masked Necromancer, ambush them to steal the medallion.
The Heroes fight valiantly, but too many of them are forced to flee by the powerful fear magic of the Necromancer, and those that remain are overcome by the assailants. As Temoi falls into unconsciousness, the Necromancer takes the medallion and leaves.
