Heroes: Manten, Elwyn, Dalin.
The Heroes read the journal, and they learn that the Aundarian spy was investigating the actions of the High Secretary of the the Temple of the Fury. He also noted a secret entrance giving access to the underground rooms of the Temple.
The Heroes wait for the night, and enter the secret passage. They're forced to contend with extraplanar, undead, and construct guardians, before they finally get access to a vast hall, where a tortured man is kept chained on an altar. Could he be the one they're looking for?
