Heroes: Ceolwic, Kokoro, Ibiki, Temoi.
The Heroes try to identify Lucan and ambassador Neya ir' Krell among the masked guests. But it seems they're not the only ones. Agents of the Royal Eyes of Aundair are also present, and when Lucan is discovered, a three-sided battle begins, as the Heroes try to capture Lucan, and the Royal Eyes try to stop them, to get the spy for themselves.
With the help of his mysterious companion, Lucan escapes the ball, bound to the nearest Lyrandar tower. After settling things with the Royal eyes, the Heroes pursue him. They arrive at the sky-docks, where they must face a few dominated dockers, but eventually manage to catch the Cloud's Destiny before she departs.
On board, the Heroes fail to discover Lucan's hiding place on their first day. The following night, sky-pirates from the Emerald Claw show up, led by an old enemy of the Heroes, the vampire Garrow. After a short fight, frustrated by the Heroes' involvement, Garrow rams the Cloud's Destiny with his ship, and both start to precipitate.
Temoi manages to hold the ship steady, but the bound elemental is out of control. Below deck, Lucan makes his appearance, leaving his hiding place, an extra-dimensonal space inside the Captian's cabin.
With the airship speeding to the ground, Ceolwic polymorphs into a bird, while Temoi and Kokoro put their trust in Ibiki: they will enter the extra-dimensional space (a metal chest), while Ibiki will jump off the ship at the last possible moment, after drinking a potion of feather fall. She hopes to open the chest before they run out of air.
When the airship is a few meters from collision, Ibiki jumps...
